The C2C Certified® program covers five quality categories:
- Material Health
- Product Circularity
- Clean Air & Climate Protection
- Water & Soil Stewardship
- Social Fairness
Products receive an achievement level in each category — there are five levels, from basic to platinum — with the lowest achievement level representing the product’s overall mark.
In 2011, we became the first producer in the world to receive a C2C Silver certificate for our light poles. The products are designed to reduce waste. Hydro also established a system in which we take the light poles back for recycling at the end of their life-cycle. By incorporating circularity, we use less raw materials in the supply chain.
