Even though there have been steady increases in recent quarters, demand for standard rolled products continues to rise. All our long-term customers have well understood the need for price adaptations due to the cost increases that the rolled products industry is facing.

Lead times are now in January 2011 for both unalloyed and magnesium standard sheets and strips.

Due to extended maintenance, the production of standard magnesium sheet and strip will start later in January than usual, i.e. only 50 percent of the usual January quantity will be available. However, in the remaining months of 2011, the capacities for standard products will be on the same level as in the year before.
