All employees in Norway have been offered to purchase shares valued at NOK 10,000 with a 25 percent discount. 79 percent of the employees entitled to the offer have subscribed, and have been allocated 411 shares at NOK 18.23 per share. The total number of shares allocated is 1,898,820. Hydro announced the purchases by the primary insiders under this offer March 30, 2009. 

Norsk Hydro ASA holds 39,732,266 own shares after this transaction and the number of outstanding shares are 1,208,224,683.
